Divine Magic

Divine Magic

Because magic was real, religion developed differently. Because religion developed differently, so did all peoples and cultures. Instead of countries, we had kingdoms, who went to war with their armies of magicians—not technology, which there was no need for. Thus people never developed medicine, music, art, literature, politics, philosophy, scholarship, fashion, education, languages, family structures, marriage, or tradition. Which is why I went back in time and used magic to erase itself, which led religion to grow in its wake. And that’s why we can be together in this world, but not the others. Which I think is pretty magical.
