Believer

Believer

For a while after the breakup (and the subsequent firing and the eviction), searching for meaning again, he believes nearly anything he is told that sounds halfway convincing: Christianity, Buddhism, Rastafarianism, nihilism, Baha'i, anarchism, men's rights, Judaism, humanism, feminism, paleo, socialism, cynicism, freethinking, radical capitalism, alchemy, Mormonism, immaterialism, Scientology, solipsism, Alpinism, communism, nudism, pilates, animalism, paganism, sorcery, spinning, self-reliance, Alcoholics Anonymous, being goth, libertarianism, and CrossFit. Finally tiring of the costs of constantly switching belief systems—and all the accouterments, vestments, tithings, retreats, and lifestyle changes thereof—one day he decides to try jogging. It’s not bad; in fact, it’s kinda fun.
