Night & Day

I was born on the always-night side of our planet; my love was born on the permaday side; thus, we can never meet. My skin would burn instantly in the sun; hûrßz would disintegrate without it. Sure, you hear of couples who get to meet once, in a high-tech, illegal, atmospherically neutral pod. But neither of our families would ever agree to switch over, just for two kids’ foolish flights of fancy! Still, I'm crossing over when my family goes to sleep, safety be damned. When it comes to love, I'd rather be burned than stay in the dark forever.
