Giving Up

I’m a professional at giving up. As soon as the going gets tough, I’m out of there. Don’t judge—we’ve all done it: bad relationships, bad movies, bad concerts, bad books, bad meals, bad dates, bad vacations, bad meetings, bad classes, bad friendships, bad jobs, bad albums, bad hobbies. But think about how many situations you stuck with just for others’ sake, not your own. For me, it’s only a matter of time; someday soon I’ll find something I really like—a mate I trust, a job I’m passionate about, a friend who believes in me. I just haven’t found it yet.
