Derrick

Derrick

They wept when Derrick was returned to them after just 72 hours, dehydrated but unharmed, thanks to the detectives’ quick use of cellular tracking plus the supermarket’s CCTV. The trauma he’d experienced likely explained why he couldn’t recall the names of anyone on his Little League team, nor the rules of baseball. Also, no one in the university’s language department could identify the language he now used with his online gamer friends, but he’d probably invented it to cope. Not that he’d ever been especially creative. He’d also been 3 inches shorter before, but why be ungrateful? Derrick was back.
